The Cerritos College women’s basketball team ended its season last night with a 63-39 victory over Compton.
Last week, the Falcons secured the South Coast Conference title and earlier in the season, head coach Karen Welliver became the all-time winningest coach in the state of California.
At the beginning of this season, it seemed like this might be a down year because of a mostly freshman team.
Three of the top players from a season ago transferred and left forwards Mercedes Taylor and Rachael Butler as the only returners.
The seeding for the playoffs will be announced on Monday and start on Wednesday.
The team should get at least one home game and give the school one more chance to enjoy this amazing team.
